Nomenclatural History
The genus Sulfurimonas was originally proposed and validly published by Inagaki et al. 2003. Takai et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2006. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Labrenz et al. in 2013 and Wang et al. in 2020.
