Nomenclatural History
|
The species Clostridium beijerinckii was originally described by Donker 1926. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Keis et al. published an emended description of this species in 2001. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Kobayashi et al. in 2020. Kobayashi et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of
Clostridium diolis Biebl and Spröer 2003
in 2020.
