Nomenclatural History	The species Clostridium cocleatum was originally described by Kaneuchi et al. 1979. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 2013, Yutin and Galperin established Clostridium cocleatum as the basonym of Erysipelatoclostridium cocleatum (Kaneuchi et al. 1979) Yutin and Galperin 2013 .
