Nomenclatural History
|
The species Clostridium colinum was originally described by Berkhoff et al. 1974. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1985 the name was revived and validly published by Berkhoff. In 2013, Yutin and Galperin established Clostridium colinum as the basonym of
Tyzzerella colina (Berkhoff 1985) Yutin and Galperin 2013
