Nomenclatural History
|
The species Clostridium diolis was originally described by Biebl and Spröer 2002. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 91 in 2003. Kobayashi et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Clostridium beijerinckii Donker 1926 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Kobayashi et al. 2020
in 2020.
