Nomenclatural History

The species Clostridium oxalicum was originally described by Dehning and Schink 1989. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 34 in 1990. In 1994, Collins et al. established Clostridium oxalicum as the basonym of
Oxalophagus oxalicus (Dehning and Schink 1990) Collins et al. 1994
.
