Nomenclatural History
The genus Acetivibrio was originally proposed and validly published by Patel et al. 1980. Murray published an emended description of this genus in 1986. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Tindall in 2019 and Tindall in 2019. Tindall established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Koeck et al. 2016 in 2019. This name replaces the name Zhang et al. 2018 .
