Nomenclatural History
The genus Bryantella was originally proposed by Wolin et al. 2003. This name was validly published by List Editor 2004. Wolin et al. replaced this illegitimate name with Wolin et al. 2008 in 2008.

Bryantella Wolin et al. 2004 VP is illegitimate according to Principle 2, Rule 51b(4) of the Bacteriological code (1990 Revision). It is a later homonym of Bryantella Chickering, 1946 (Dendryphantini) and Bryantella Britton, 1957 (Melolonthinae).
