Nomenclatural History
|
The species Thermohalobacter berrensis was originally described and validly published by Cayol et al. 2000.
Tindall 2019 asserted that the nomenclatural type was based upon a patent strain and therefore contravened Rule 30 of the ICNP. There is no current evidence of this, and so the name continues to have standing in nomenclature.
