Nomenclatural History	The species Peptostreptococcus vaginalis was originally described and validly published by Li et al. 1992. In 2001, Ezaki et al. established Peptostreptococcus vaginalis as the basonym of Anaerococcus vaginalis (Li et al. 1992) Ezaki et al. 2001 .
