Nomenclatural History	The species Anaerococcus prevotii was originally described and validly published by Ezaki et al. 2001. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 81 in 2008. Ezaki et al. formed this name in 2001 by placing the species Peptostreptococcus prevotii (Foubert and Douglas 1948) Ezaki et al. 1983 into the genus Anaerococcus Ezaki et al. 2001.
