Nomenclatural History
The species Tissierella praeacuta was originally described and validly published by Collins and Shah 1986. Alauzet et al. published an emended description of this species in 2014. Collins and Shah formed this name in 1986 by placing the species (Tissier 1908) Holdeman and Moore 1970 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Collins and Shah 1986 emend. Alauzet et al. 2014. Bae et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of MacLennan 1939 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2004.
