Nomenclatural History
The genus Eubacterium was originally proposed by Prévot 1938. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 57 in 1983. Holdeman and Moore published an emended description of this genus in 1974. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Cato et al. in 1981.
