Nomenclatural History
The species Eubacterium suis was originally described by Soltys and Spratling 1957. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1982 the name was revived and validly published by Wegienek and Reddy. In 1992, Ludwig et al. established as the basonym of (Wegienek and Reddy 1982) Ludwig et al. 1992 .
