Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Carboxydothermus was originally proposed by Svetlichny et al. 1991. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 39 in 1991. Slobodkin et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2006. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Novikov et al. in 2011. Slobodkin et al. transferred the members of
Thermoterrabacterium Slobodkin et al. 1997
into this genus in 2006.
