Nomenclatural History
The species Mitsuokella multacida was originally described by Shah and Collins 1982. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 10 in 1983. Euzéby corrected this name from (sic) to . Shah and Collins formed this name in 1982 by placing the species Mitsuoka et al. 1974 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Shah and Collins 1983.
