Nomenclatural History
The genus Pectinatus was originally proposed by Lee et al. 1978. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Juvonen and Suihko published an emended description of this genus in 2006. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Caldwell et al. in 2013.
