The genus Carboxydibrachium was originally proposed and validly published by Sokolova et al. 2001. List Editor corrected this name from Carboxydobrachium (sic) to Carboxydibrachium . Fardeau et al. transferred the members of this genus into
Caldanaerobacter Fardeau et al. 2004
in 2004.
