Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Thermoanaerobium was originally proposed by Zeikus et al. 1979. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 11 in 1983. Lee et al. transferred the members of this genus into
Thermoanaerobacter Wiegel and Ljungdahl 1982 emend. Lee et al. 2007
in 1993.
