Nomenclatural History
The species Mycoplasma haemocanis was originally described and validly published by Messick et al. 2002. Messick et al. formed this name in 2002 by placing the species (ex Kikuth 1928) Kreier and Ristic 1984 into the genus Nowak 1929 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Gupta et al. 2018. In 2018, Gupta et al. established as the basonym of (Kreier and Ristic 1984) Gupta et al. 2018 .
