Nomenclatural History
The species Mesoplasma florum was originally described and validly published by Tully et al. 1993. Tully et al. formed this name in 1993 by placing the species McCoy et al. 1984 into the genus Tully et al. 1993 emend. Gupta et al. 2019. In 2019, Gasparich and Kuo established as the basonym of (McCoy et al. 1984) Gasparich and Kuo 2019 .
