Nomenclatural History
The species Mesoplasma entomophilum was originally described and validly published by Tully et al. 1993. Tully et al. formed this name in 1993 by placing the species Tully et al. 1988 into the genus Tully et al. 1993 emend. Gupta et al. 2019. In 2019, Gasparich and Kuo established as the basonym of (Tully et al. 1988) Gasparich and Kuo 2019 .
