Nomenclatural History
Heyndrickx et al. corrected this name from (sic) to . The species Bacillus aneurinilyticus was originally described by Aoyama 1952. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1994 the name was revived and validly published by Shida et al.. In 1996, Shida et al. established as the basonym of (Shida et al. 1994) Shida et al. 1996 emend. Heyndrickx et al. 1997 .
