Nomenclatural History	The species Bacillus coagulans was originally described by Hammer 1915. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. De Clerck et al. published an emended description of this species in 2004. In 2020, Gupta et al. established Bacillus coagulans as the basonym of Weizmannia coagulans (Hammer 1915) Gupta et al. 2020 .
