Nomenclatural History
|
The species Bacillus thiaminolyticus was originally described by Kuno 1951. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1990 the name was revived and validly published by Nakamura. In 1997, Shida et al. established Bacillus thiaminolyticus as the basonym of
Paenibacillus thiaminolyticus (Nakamura 1990) Shida et al. 1997
