The species Bacillus tusciae was originally described by Bonjour and Aragno 1984. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 17 in 1985. In 2011, Klenk et al. established as the basonym of (Bonjour and Aragno 1985) Klenk et al. 2012 .
