Nomenclatural History
The species Geobacillus thermocatenulatus was originally described and validly published by Nazina et al. 2001. Dinsdale et al. published an emended description of this species in 2011. Nazina et al. formed this name in 2001 by placing the species Golovacheva et al. 1991 into the genus Nazina et al. 2001 emend. Aliyu et al. 2018.
