Nomenclatural History
The genus Jeotgalibacillus was originally proposed and validly published by Yoon et al. 2001. Chen et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2010. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Yaakop et al. in 2015. Yoon et al. transferred the members of Yoon et al. 2001 emend. Yoon et al. 2004 into this genus in 2010.
