Nomenclatural History
The species Paenibacillus amylolyticus was originally described by Ash et al. 1993. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 51 in 1994. Shida et al. published an emended description of this species in 1997. Ash et al. formed this name in 1993 by placing the species (ex Choukévitch 1911) Nakamura 1984 into the genus Ash et al. 1994 emend. Huang et al. 2017.
