Nomenclatural History	The species Paenibacillus peoriae was originally described and validly published by Heyndrickx et al. 1996. Heyndrickx et al. formed this name in 1996 by placing the species Bacillus peoriae Montefusco et al. 1993 into the genus Paenibacillus Ash et al. 1994 emend. Huang et al. 2017.
