Nomenclatural History
The species Paenibacillus validus was originally described by Ash et al. 1993. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 51 in 1994. Ash et al. formed this name in 1993 by placing the species (ex Bredemann and Heigener 1935) Nakamura 1984 into the genus Ash et al. 1994 emend. Huang et al. 2017. Heyndrickx et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (Pichinoty et al. 1987) Ash et al. 1994 in 1995.
