Nomenclatural History
The species Sporosarcina psychrophila was originally described and validly published by Yoon et al. 2001. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 81 in 2008. Yoon et al. formed this name in 2001 by placing the species (ex Larkin and Stokes 1967) Nakamura 1984 into the genus Kluyver and van Niel 1936 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Gupta and Patel 2019.
