Nomenclatural History
The species Staphylococcus vitulinus was originally described and validly published by Webster et al. 1994. Trüper and de' Clari corrected this name from (sic) to . Švec et al. published an emended description of this species in 2004. Švec et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Zakrzewska-Czerwińska et al. 1995 in 2004. In 2020, Madhaiyan et al. established as the basonym of (Webster et al. 1994) Madhaiyan et al. 2020 .
