Nomenclatural History
The species Gemella morbillorum was originally described and validly published by Kilpper-Bälz and Schleifer 1988. Kilpper-Bälz and Schleifer formed this name in 1988 by placing the species (Prévot 1933) Holdeman and Moore 1974 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Berger 1960 emend. Reyn 1974 (Approved Lists 1980).
