Nomenclatural History
The species Thermoactinomyces sacchari was originally described by Lacey 1971. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Yoon et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (ex Waksman and Corke 1953) Lacey and Cross 1989 in 2000. In 2005, Yoon et al. established as the basonym of (Lacey 1971) Yoon et al. 2005 emend. Jiang et al. 2019 .
