Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Lactobacillus aviarius araffinosus was originally described by Fujisawa et al. 1984. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 20 in 1986. Zheng et al. elevated this subspecies to the rank of species to form the name (Fujisawa et al. 1986) Zheng et al. 2020 in 2020.
