Nomenclatural History
The species Meiothermus chliarophilus was originally described and validly published by Nobre et al. 1996. Nobre et al. formed this name in 1996 by placing the species Tenreiro et al. 1995 into the genus Nobre et al. 1996 emend. Jiao et al. 2022. In 2019, Raposo et al. established as the basonym of (Tenreiro et al. 1995) Raposo et al. 2019 .
