Nomenclatural History
|
The species Lactobacillus ferintoshensis was originally described by Simpson et al. 2001. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 86 in 2002. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 81 in 2008. Vancanneyt et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Lactobacillus parabuchneri Farrow et al. 1989
in 2005.
