Nomenclatural History
The species Lactobacillus vaccinostercus was originally described by Okada et al. 1979. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 10 in 1983. Dellaglio et al. published an emended description of this species in 2006. Dellaglio et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Leisner et al. 2002 in 2006. In 2020, Zheng et al. established as the basonym of (Okada et al. 1983) Zheng et al. 2020 .
