Nomenclatural History	The species Leuconostoc oeni was originally described by Garvie 1967. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Dicks et al. corrected this name from Leuconostoc oeni (sic) to Leuconostoc oenos . In 1995, Dicks et al. established Leuconostoc oeni as the basonym of Oenococcus oeni (Garvie 1967) Dicks et al. 1995 .
