Nomenclatural History	The species Oenococcus oeni was originally described and validly published by Dicks et al. 1995. Dicks et al. formed this name in 1995 by placing the species Leuconostoc oenos corrig. Garvie 1967 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Oenococcus Dicks et al. 1995 emend. Bello et al. 2022.
