Nomenclatural History
The species Weissella minor was originally described by Collins et al. 1993. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 49 in 1994. Collins et al. formed this name in 1993 by placing the species (ex Abo-Elnaga and Kandler 1965) Kandler et al. 1983 into the genus Collins et al. 1994 emend. Bello et al. 2022.
