Nomenclatural History
|
The subspecies Streptococcus lactis diacetilactis was originally described by Matuszewski et al. 1936. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1982 the name was revived and validly published by Garvie and Farrow.
