Nomenclatural History	The species Streptococcus saccharolyticus was originally described by Farrow et al. 1984. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 17 in 1985. In 1990, Rodrigues and Collins established Streptococcus saccharolyticus as the basonym of Enterococcus saccharolyticus (Farrow et al. 1985) Rodrigues and Collins 1991 emend. Chen et al. 2013 .
