Nomenclatural History
The species Atopobium parvulum was originally described by Collins and Wallbanks 1992. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 44 in 1993. Collins and Wallbanks formed this name in 1992 by placing the species (Weinberg et al. 1937) Cato 1983 into the genus Collins and Wallbanks 1993 emend. Cools et al. 2014. In 2018, Nouioui et al. established as the basonym of (Weinberg et al. 1937) Nouioui et al. 2018 .
