Nomenclatural History
The genus Arcanobacterium was originally proposed by Collins et al. 1982. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 10 in 1983. Lehnen et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2006. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Yassin et al. in 2011 and Hijazin et al. in 2012.
