Nomenclatural History

The genus Mobiluncus was originally proposed and validly published by Spiegel and Roberts 1984. Hoyles et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2004. Hoyles et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of
Falcivibrio Hammann et al. 1984
in 2004.
