Nomenclatural History
The species Arthrobacter protophormiae was originally described by Stackebrandt et al. 1983. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 14 in 1984. Stackebrandt et al. formed this name in 1983 by placing the species Lysenko 1959 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Conn and Dimmick 1947 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Kämpfer et al. 2020. In 2016, Busse established as the basonym of (Lysenko 1959) Busse 2016 .
