Nomenclatural History

The species Arthrobacter siderocapsulatus was originally described by Dubinina and Zhdanov 1975. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Chun et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Pseudomonas putida (Trevisan 1889) Migula 1895 (Approved Lists 1980)
in 2001.
