Nomenclatural History
The species Kocuria rosea was originally described and validly published by Stackebrandt et al. 1995. Stackebrandt et al. formed this name in 1995 by placing the species Flügge 1886 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Stackebrandt et al. 1995. This name replaces the name Poston 1994 .
